Symphony Orchestra

This orchestra is our flagship ensemble comprised of the most talented string, wind, and percussion players. These students are held to the highest musical standards in addition to demonstrated outstanding practice habits, dedication to the ensemble and adherence to strict attendance policies. The ensemble is known for its expertise in the field of artistic music making with professional level orchestra literature. The ensemble not only performs standard repertoire; it also showcases “musical gems” by great composers not often heard in “mainstream” America concert Halls. Sympony Orchestra is conducted by Erik Bryan and Justin Davis.

Chamber Winds

The BSYO Chamber Winds performs high quality challenging chamber winds literature for all wind and percussion players in the ensemble. The group forms the core wind section for the Symphony Orchestra  as well during the 2nd and 3rd concert cycle each season. The Ensemble provides a challenging environment for upper-level wind and percussion players and assesses a world of literature not often performed in their home music classroom. Players can expect to be challenged and grow through playing the best music possible for the winds.
